It's been a busy month at AdvicePay! Perhaps fueled by the early and ongoing purchase of Halloween candy, our team has been working like crazy to bring you enhanced features and customization tools. We're happy to share that many of these have been completed in response to your feedback!  October Release Details

Audit Log

Do you need to track down who refunded that client, verify when a client last logged in, or run a report on how many invoices were sent last quarter? The audit log provides a "paper trail" of key actions performed in AdvicePay by users connected to your account, making it simple to follow (and report on!) the internal activities that matter to your firm.

Account Owners and Admin users can view the log by going to Account > Audit Log. By default we will display all advisor, user, and client activity in chronological order, with the most recent actions displayed first.

Turn On/Off Select Client + Advisor Email Notifications

Customize the emails both you and your clients receive by changing the interval settings, adding your own message, or turning off select notifications!

For clients

By default clients receive a reminder email on unpaid invoices both before and after the due date. One or both of the reminders can be disabled. Learn more in the updated Help desk article. 

Client Paid Initial Invoice, Recurring Debit Reminder, and Recurring Payment Receipt emails cannot be turned off by the advisor. Coming soon your clients can choose whether they want to disable any of these emails through their own client portal!

For advisors

Advisors are BCC'd on Failed Client Payment email notifications by default, but they can now opt out if they want to track failed payments through their dashboard instead.

They can also turn on/off the daily, monthly, or weekly transaction report delivery.

Custom Unpaid Invoice Reminder Interval Settings

Customize when your clients receive their upcoming or overdue invoice reminders!

The Upcoming Invoice Reminder can be sent out 1 day, 3 days, or 7 days before the invoice due date. (Default is 3 days.)

The Overdue Invoice Reminder can be sent out 1 day or 3 days after the invoice due date. (Default is 1 day.)

We don't like unnecessary inbox clutter either! To help with this, a reminder email will not be sent to for an invoice IF it is requested within the reminder's interval setting. (So, if you create an invoice within 3 days of its due date, and your overdue invoice email interval is set to 3 days after the due date, that overdue reminder will not go out to the client.)

Custom messages are optional and can be added to:

  • Payment requests
  • Upcoming Invoice Due reminders
  • Overdue Invoice reminders
  • Initial payment receipts
  • Recurring debit reminders
  • Recurring payment receipts

 

Email Log

Under the new Emails & Notifications page, Advisors and Admin users can access a real-time, chronological log of relevant system emails sent to clients, users on their account, and themselves. Advisors and their Admin users can also view the full plain text version of the email. The log is searchable by the email’s subject and content.
