For most, July normally means BBQs, pool days, and fireworks! It also means the release of impressive new features for AdvicePay users. This past month, our team launched our fee calculator, made some exciting upgrades to eSignature (lots of new features there), and knocked out a long list of minor fixes and system enhancements.

Here's a quick review of what is new!

What we’re most excited about:

New Tool! Fee Calculator

Standardize fees at your firm, comply with transparency requests from regulators, increase your sales, and improve your billing workflow efficiency with our powerful new fee calculator! (Pssst. We have even added some nifty calculator templates to help you get started.)

Fee Calculator

There are no conditions or extra fees to use the calculator, so feel welcome to give it a whirl!

eSignature Signing Order

Do you prefer that all signees sign a document before you? Does a compliance officer need to sign before it goes out to your client for signature? With the ability to assign a signing order, your firm can quickly collect all of the signatures it needs in the correct order they need them!

Bulk Upload

Have a long list of existing clients that you need to get set up on AdvicePay? Instead of entering them one by one, use our new bulk importing tool to create them in a jiffy! Our provided .CSV template contains the exact fields we need to be able to import clients in AdvicePay, so you don't need to change or adjust a thing.

Other Features & Bug Fixes

  • E-sign template management -- allows for the sharing of templates with their firm. Enterprises have an additional setting to disallow reps from adding their own templates.

  • “Contract Signed” email notification option for advisors/firm users -- so you never miss a beat when a contract is signed and completed!

  • Adding Tags to advisor and client profiles

  • Login with Google instead of (or after) setting a password, as long as emails match

  • New onboarding! Fresh new design + nicer flows for verifying identity

  • Superadmin feature to set app-wide alert in case of major outages

  • Ability to delete failed invoices on a subscription

  • Enterprise fee scrape

  • Google Analytics events to track onboarding

  • App maintenance mode (in preparation for scheduled downtime 7/28)

  • Support new flow for identity verification

  • Allow capital letters to be used in the entered email addresses when requesting multiple payments

  • Change eSign redirect after clients set a password

  • Fix for trying to edit a subscription with an upfront invoice that has been marked as paid

  • Fix for “Additional Info” Invoice setting getting incorrectly hidden from advisors

  • Fix for permission check that hid action to sign a contract

  • Fix for firm toggle for rep description adding/editing

  • Fixed data discrepancy with HubSpot data syncing

What to look forward to:

  • Resigned Client Wallet (with extra payment method settings!)

  • Improved subscription management

  • Invoice + Subscription filtering

Erika is the reason you’ll keep smiling, even in the (rare) event you have an issue with AdvicePay. As a mom of three kids with a Journalism degree, a long history of leading customer service, and a mild obsession with Lord of the Rings (extended version), you know Erika has the patience and tenacity to stick with whatever challenge comes up. Her problem-solving and communication skills are amazing, but honestly, it’s her volunteer advocacy work with victims of domestic abuse that makes her our real hero.
