In addition to several bug fixes, this past month we expanded the abilities of our existing advance/arrears date range setting. We also added a security pin feature for signing documents and have been preparing for a few exciting releases in October (insert happy dance here!)

Check out our release notes below to get an overview of everything new, and a sneak peek at what is just around the corner.

What we’re most excited about 🎉

Set advance/arrears date ranges on a per subscription basis

No two planning clients are the same, so billing has to be flexible, too! Last month we expanded the abilities of our existing advance/arrears date range setting to allow for it to be altered at the individual subscription level when needed.

When setting up a new subscription, you’ll see your default advance/arrears setting pre-selected under Date Range. To switch that specific subscription to the non-default option, you only need to click its radio button! All invoices billed under that subscription will reflect date ranges based on the setting chosen here.

Security PINs for signing documents

Security is what we’re all about here at AdvicePay, and we want you to be able to customize even your eSignature workflows with security in mind. Our new feature enabling signer PINs allows you to do this by requiring your signers to enter a randomly populated PIN (password) before they are able to access and sign the document.

When turned on, signees will receive a separate email with a PIN included that will allow them to proceed with signing a document. This PIN will only be sent after the signee clicks on the initial link to sign, and is not viewable by BCC recipients or in your email log. (We’ll still document that the email was sent, but no one will be able to see the PIN itself!)

As soon as you turn on PINs, future documents sent will automatically require a PIN. And if you ever decide you’d rather not require PINs, you can easily toggle it back off within your Firm Settings!

Erika is the reason you’ll keep smiling, even in the (rare) event you have an issue with AdvicePay. As a mom of three kids with a Journalism degree, a long history of leading customer service, and a mild obsession with Lord of the Rings (extended version), you know Erika has the patience and tenacity to stick with whatever challenge comes up. Her problem-solving and communication skills are amazing, but honestly, it’s her volunteer advocacy work with victims of domestic abuse that makes her our real hero.
